- Choose a familiar person and contact route. Respect any request not to be contacted.
- Send a short greeting and listen. Leave dues, attendance and volunteer jobs out of the first message.
- Offer a call, coffee or help with a visit only if he wants it. Let him choose the next step.
Keep this in mind.
Say whether you are writing as a friend or on behalf of the lodge. A return to meetings is not the measure of whether the contact mattered.
