Photograph the Minute Books
Read the opening, a complete made-up first plan and its matching blank form. These are three selected pages from the revised booklet.
This preview is not the full working package. Real records work needs the booklet, its included Minute Books Records companion and the proper local permission. For a complete no-charge exercise using new paper, open the four-page Practice Page Kit. No purchase or email signup is required.

Brotherhood of Purpose · Practical Guides Robert W. Linn, PM | Bosley Press | MB26 3 Start here with one small step The care given to these records matters. Their order may still be unclear. You do not need to be a historian or camera expert to learn a first step. This guide is for lodge officers and brothers helping preserve records. It helps you plan a small copying job and leave files another approved keeper can find. Ten minutes and no camera Write one approval question and name who can answer it. Use page 5. Asking a question does not grant access to a book. Made-up first step Question: Who may approve copying this book? Person to ask: Sam, to find the right authority. Return note: Ask by Friday. No record access requested yet; next read page 6. Twenty minutes with a camera Use the included four-page Practice Page Kit with new paper. Leave with one checked image and an honest note of any fault. The five-view test comes later. Choose your pace Work alone, with a willing brother, or in a practice class. These are planning allowances, not promises. A proposed first-job plan can take one sitting; real permissions and care may take longer. Copying, reading and sharing need separate decisions. Keep records private until the right approval is clear. You may stop after a safe first step.
